If you only need to leave your baby for a few hours, babysitters may be a good option for you.  They're great for evenings, emergencies, even part-time work when a full-time nanny is too much for your needs or your budget.

Ask other moms or use a placement agency (see below).  Look for ads and billboard postings.

Get at least 3 references and be sure to check them.  Remember, you are leaving your most treasured possession and your home in care of this person, they have to be absolutely trustworthy.
