Reading to your child is one of the important
things you can do. It opens new worlds to them, improves their
vocabulary, and helps them do better in school. Even babies
benefit hugely from having a book read to them. For older
children, make sure they read on their own daily.
Charlotte Public Libraries are an excellent source of books and overall education.
In addition to a great book selection all branches offer free classes
which include story reading, songs, and movement. Some branches require you to sign up on a particular date each month. Contact your local branch for more information.
